MAKING MONEY FROM GREEN GOES HAND IN HAND. GIVE IT ALL AWAY.

GREEN = $$$$$

Being 'Green' is the latest money making venture. Businesses are touting themselves as being 'organic' or 'green', while, at the same time charging astronomical prices.

Open minded people would like to be green if they could afford it. But to the trendy people who come from wealth and privilege who tout themselves as 'green' in hip and ultra-trendy cities, flaunt their 'green-ness' in their 'organically woven t-shirts that only cost them $300.00. Being green is, well being $$$$ green.

BUY NOTHING YOU DON'T NEED. DON'T TRUST THE MEDIA. GIVE EVERYTHING AWAY FOR NOTHING.

Hypocrites

I have to laugh at the idea of 'Benefit Concerts'. Who benefits from the concerts? Once the 'administrative' costs are taken away there is little of no benefit to anyone but the sponsors of the events (corporations).

I read an article about a benefit for the hungry. It was an all day concert. While the performers were talking about donating money to feed hunger other celebrities and the sponsors were dining on Lobster and Champagne! Talk about being hypocritical.

The last benefit concert that I won't name involved spreading the news about global warming. Well let's see, x amount of performers, technical crews, sponsors, the entourage, etc has to be jetted and driven to the concerts. I'll bet you that they weren't driving hybrids! Think about the amount of energy that's required to power the PA systems, lights and other assorted electrical goodies for a concert. How is that 'saving the environment?'

Why couldn't they have the concert at one location, with a small crew while the performers play on acoustic instruments?

Who really benefits from benefit concerts?

IGNORANCE IS BLISS

Competition for college entrance exams. Internships, entry level jobs, home loans. These are things that was easy to obtain in the past, not anymore. Corporations are making it harder for the 'average' person to get ahead in life. Coupled with a downturn in the economy and outsourced jobs what kind of future will we be forced to endure?

It is time that we take the power away from the few.

Steal from the rich, feed the poor. It's easy to type these feelings.

But I am taking the first step towards freeing the human race.

I am nothing.

The numbing effect

When I lived in the city I was bombarded by ads. 50% off sale ads, commercials for cars. It eventually drove me mad. Of course I see ads on the computer but it's not as bad as TV. I can't remember the last time I saw televison. For that matter I can't remember the last time I was in the movie theatre. I do watch foreign films, documentaries and Independent films on the dvd player in my computer, but I spend the rest of my time reading and breathing the fresh air.

Consumers are numbing their senses. Products and TV ads rule their empty lives. We live in a wasteland of useless media.

The world has come to an end. I took the last exit before the plunge.
