Commune

The time is right for a yurt commune. There is a large number of us and we are ready to take the land back for the people by the people. Wall Street, mortgage lenders and speculators have wrecked the economy. When will people wake up?

The country is in a social ill and there is no remedy unless you open your senses.

The life I used to live

Living in the wilderness it's hard to believe that I can't remember the life I used to live; working in a cubicle for a corporation. Living in the city, worrying what's in or not. Always stressed from my job and life in general.

I live under a yurt under clear blue skies.

I can't ask for anything else.

FORECLOSED LIFE

The country has been plagued with foreclosures. There's no one to blame but the people who signed for the loans and the greedy lenders who gave the loans to people with bad credit.

All of this has me thinking when did the idea of 'land ownership' take place? Did the Native Americans have trust deeds and mortgage lenders? Granted there were territories as in the animal planet. Was it a natural progression of life that he/she who has the most toys wins? The idea of paying hand over fist for overpriced properties is insane.

Yes, I live in a yurt. The parcels of land are owned by a friend who wants to turn the parcels over to his friends. Me being one of them. I'm very happy and grateful. I wish there were more people like him.

Why can't life be like this for everyone?

The wilderness is cold and windy. It's beautiful. The air is crisp. You need to be here to experience nature at it's fullest. True beauty. No pollution, traffic or overpopulation. Granted it's not for everyone, but I relish sleeping in a yurt or spending my time staring at the stars.

If more people could live off the land life would be wonderful. Easier said than done, especially if you have a family.

We all need to make a change. Maybe after time and some careful thinking you can join me.
