THE EXTREME ECOLOGIST

I could have stored the car, but what if upon my demise someone was to restore the car and continue to pollute the environment? I thought about it in great detail. Scraping the car was my best solution. As I said in the last blog I am not wealthy by any means but it the only sane way to save the environment. I may be extreme but I mean what I say.

THE EXTREME ECOLOGIST

I've been reading Nothing wants Nothing for sometime. He made me open my eyes to the current situation in regards to the environment.

Last year I decided to sell my gas guzzling SUV or so I thought. If I simply sold my SUV someone else would be polluting the environment. So I did, well I thing it's perfectly rational behavior, maybe not to you but I did what I know is right.

I sold my SUV as scrap. Yes, I destroyed the SUV. I'm not wealthy. I would describe myself as a middle class computer programmer. I read and hear things about people going green whatever that may mean.

I drive a fuel efficient compact car when I absolutely need to. Other than that I walk or ride my bicycle.

I decided that if I was going to 'turn green' I would have to do it full bore and not look back.

I feel liberated as though something heavy was lifted from my shoulders.

Scraping my SUV was not the last thing I did.

There's more to come.

I mean what I say.

I hear stories about people who claim to be 'green' whatever that may end up meaning. I've met a man who really is green. He's sacrificed everything in his life to live a life of being green.

I feel that I should devote more time to his cause. You will be hearing more from this man in the future. He will be writing his blog to inform the world what it means to be truly green!
