DROWNING IN DROUGHT

Shortage of water, forest fires, loss of habitat. Why is this happening? Global warming? Most likely, but lets get to the bottom of things. The real culprit is overpopluation. We need to put a limit on how many children are allowed to be born. Yes, yes it's a free country but at whose expense? Do you live on a farm? Probably not. Why do city dwellers need to have more than 2 children? We should do what the Chinese are doing and put a limit on the population.

How can the earth sustain the growth? More pollution, raw sewage, crime, disease, loss of wildlife.

We are killing the earth.

It's only going to get worse. We must WAKE UP!

If we want the world to be a better place we must first give up the things that makes our life 'pleasant' i.e. cars, big houses, even traveling by airplane, unless it is necessary.

Send me hate mail, I don't care.

CARE FOR YOUR WORLD! YOU DESTROYED IT WITH YOUR GREED!

ASK FOR NOTHING!

BE NOTHING!

YOU ARE NOTHING!

NOTHING - The car as an outmoded form of transportation.

Americans are crazy about their cars. It represents freedom. That's what I used to think until I woke up.

New York - good public transportation. The downside, potential lunatics riding in the seat next to you.

San Francisco - another city with great transportation. The downside, drug damaged schizo sitting next to you on the bus. - Parts of BART runs under the water. What if an earthquake strikes? No thank you. I don't want to drown.

Los Angeles - TERRIBLE. They might have a 'subway', (more like an expensive full size model train) who takes the subway in L.A.? Everyone there drives, sitting in traffic (breathing in the fumes) listening to bad talk radio. Sunny California? Sounds like hell.

I lived in L.A. for several years, I wasted a good portion of my life in sitting in traffic (yes, breathing the smog). What freedom does the automobile represent when a turtle can speed past your car in stop and go traffic? I moved back to the Bay Area, living in the city until I moved into a yurt.

I hear lots of talk about widening the freeway in L.A. I receive these reports from friends who still live there. They're thinking about throwing everything away to live near me in a yurt. Why doesn't the city leaders build a monorail? It would be much faster to build than a subway, it's environmentally safe and the riders would have a view of the city.

But it's just wishful thinking. It won't happen. Not for awhile, maybe never. What city planners need to do to alleviate the problem is to build a city where the residents can walk to the store and jobs. Easier said than done, I realize that but it's better than building more freeways and adding to the pollution and congestion problems.

Another approach would be to limit the population. Major cities in the U.S. are overcrowded. bursting at the seams. Why do families need more than 2 children? It's not like they live on a farm. Potential parents need to wake up and realize that economically and environmentally it makes no sense to overcrowd the city.

Parking problems in the city lead to frustration. Why go anywhere when there's no parking? Cars are the problem.

Automobiles offered the freedom to go anywhere but in recent years it's more of a problem than anything else.

We need to wake up. It's not going to get any better.

Peace for money?

I have been receiving an unusual amount of emails regarding the purchase of t-shirts for peace. How do I really know that the money is going to fight war and famine? How do I know if it's not going to some greedy business person?

I am all for peace but not when it's being exploited for financial gain.

Exploiting peace is the ultimate form of bad karma.

I am nothing. I strive for nothing. I want nothing.

I am invisible.

I strive to unravel society thread by thread until it is laid bare. Naked. Ill. Uncomfortable.

A glimpse into a future will reveal that we are nothing.

We are all nonexistent.
